These are a few of the Christmas cards I created for my mom and my aunt in 2006.

Christmas Cards...

"Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow"
Snowballs were made with cotton paper linters. Assorted cards were made for this particular client...some with white 1/8" ribbon, some with bright blue. Wintery!

A word about how I work...

Each and every NORMA design comes about after careful consideration. Ideas brew...and then...I take to my favorite Nashville textile hotspot, Textile Fabrics, off Franklin Road. This store has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop. They sell great fabrics and most importantly...a WIDE variety of ribbons and trims. i LiKe RiBbOnS!

As you see, especially with the invitations I create, much thought is put into each one. I enjoy utilizing materials that symbolize the event and/or the individual. Each invitation is handmade and is designed with the person in mind-ALWAYS.

My current projects include a couple of lingerie shower invitations for bride, Casey, and thank you notes for my friendly and innovative friend, Brittney, whos works with the Vibe Agency (an all-woman event planning company based in Nashville, TN). Exciting!

Invitation Sample No.3

I created this invitation for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding party..and several extra-special friends. We entitled the evening, "After Rehearsal Dinner with Friends". It was lovely.

Our wedding colors were cocoa brown, peach, and turquoise. The heavy cardstock was a deep turquoise and the text paper was in tan. The ribbon attached at the top was 1.5" cocoa brown grosgrain, peach satin picot, and super skinny turquoise single-faced satin ribbon--tied in a knot to symbolize the ocassion!

This invitation was designed for my friend, Joy. Her shower was unique...it was a combined, lingerie and honeymoon shower. What fun!

Cardstock was a textured pistachio green. Text was printed on white cardstock (65lb). Ribbon was attached to the left edge as was the orange grass-like fringe. An enclosure that gave sizes, etc. was included-- "Fun in the Sun!" and "Fun with her hon'!"

Red envelope is shown.

These invitations were created for one of my friends, Shelley.

The photo is dark, but I have included a description:

Chocolate brown cardstock (90lb) was combined with a deep lime green checked paper for text (28lb). Fushia ribbon was used to attach the light pink watercolor textured square. Paper linters, to signify the bride's new last name, "Cotton", were dyed aqua and shaped into an itsy bitsy bra and panty set..perfect for a lingerie shower!

Envelope shown is a shimmery, light aqua.
